The Black Cat Cafe was founded by Sarah McCombe from Black Cat Catering in collaboration with Alice Fox Pitt and the team at Rushmore Estate. Its been a labour of love and has taken around 4 years to come to fruition! 

With a vision for a rustic yet charming space, incorporating gentle nods to the heritage of the site using reclaimed teak and an old door. this was then turned into the most beautiful kitchen by the very talented Daniel Day Carpentry.

We also retained the old beams and kept a brick wall that really does tell the history of the barn that once housed pigs!

who is sarah?

Sarah has a small family run catering business born in the first covid lockdown after getting made redundant. Over the last 4.5 years she has evolved the business to where she is now with a large emphasis on local and homemade produce which will also feature on the menu at the cafe.

Sarah is married to Nick and has a teenage son, Toby and they share their house with 2 gorgeous pooches called Dexter and Walter. We also mustn't forget Oreo, a large black fluffy part Persian cat and is who both companies are named after! Whilst she can`t promise you will meet Oreo, you will definitely see Dexter and Walter at the cafe.
